There is nothing more powerful than a group of people talking about great ideas. This assembly of immigration lawyers and professionals only proves that a common ground binds us all together — a learning curve to betterment through innovation. The conference between seasoned professionals discussed the pros and cons they experienced in using different social media platforms and what they think can serve as a springboard to the future of immigration cases.
Set your target demographic.
Reaching out to your potential target demographic has certain factors to consider. Remember that we are dealing with a multitude of cultures, generations, and behavior—all at the same time. This is why certain platforms work with location and age while others may not. Good to note as well is considering the trend celebrated by the majority of your target demographic. So, if your audience increases by simply adding a familiar language—keep doing that.
Today, the incredible spikes and volume into immigration law firms are driven by news events; and we have scalable technology in place to do massive intake. And immigration professionals believe that 2021 is the year to expect the upsurge of immigration cases.
Maximize the social media platforms you can use.
Some of the platforms you may want to start with are TikTok, Facebook Live, Google Chrome Extension: Group Convert (to effectively manage your platforms’ comment section), Twitch, Lula TV, Streamyard, LinkedIn, Clubhouse (LinkedIn for voice), and WhatsApp.
Remember that platforms may come and go but the algorithm may be similar enough to get the figures we want. This is why as much as possible we have to maximize the use of the platforms’ special features—go live, comment more, hit like, engage with the audience, and make each encounter count.
Take a stand.
Building communities where we can help each other was one of the highlights in this discussion. Ian emphasized that a community of ethical lawyers should take the stand of taking care of people appropriately. Through reliability, trust, and work ethic, as we need to rely on each other, we believe that this gathering is a bridge to help each other to rise to the top.
