There are tons of website builders offering features you can use to create your own website. The most popular options are WordPress, Wix, and Squarespace. These website builders are the most opted for but what should you use? Which is best for your brand or business? To make it easier, here’s a list of pros and cons for you to better understand each application.

WordPress

WordPress is known for its customization features. You can personalize almost each part of the page and website. For some people, customizing the website for their business is the most important part of choosing a builder. Not only that, you can use third-party plugins that you need to integrate with your website!

Pros

●     Unlimited customization

●     Access to all kinds of third-party plugins

Cons

●     Need to set up web hosting yourself

●     Requires coding knowledge

The issue on WordPress, however, is you need to have coding knowledge to fully utilize it. It   will be very hard for you if you don’t have basic coding background as some parts of it require coding to edit it.

Wix

If you are new in website building, then it is best to choose Wix as it is very easy to use. It has a user-friendly interface and is very easy to understand which is why it is the go-to builder by people who are new in website building.

Pros

●     Best overall website builder

●     Very easy to use

Cons

●     Can’t switch themes after publishing

●     Choices can feel overwhelming

One con about Wix is you cannot change the theme once you publish the website. Which means if you want to change another theme, you need to redo the whole website and its pages. Also, the almost limitless choices can be overwhelming and confusing. Oops.

Squarespace

Squarespacee has beautifully crafted templates which you can use for your website compared to the other two. Creative industries such as Arts, Music, and Movies prefer Squarespace because of elegance, creativity, and designs.

Pros

●     Beautifully designed templates

●     Best for creative industries

Cons

●     Difficult to use at first

●     Limited choice of pricing plans

The learning curve for Squarespace is a lot steeper and longer because compared to the two, it is more complicated and sophisticated for those people new to building websites. The second one is that the pricing plan of it is limited which could be troublesome for people who are on the budget.

By comparing and understanding the pros and cons of each builder, it will give you a better understanding of each and you can choose what best suits you.
