Re-engaging a mailing list is a good thing for additional clients, customers, and consumers. One of the most evident areas where firms fail is not re-engaging customers who are already interested in what you have to offer.

Reactivate by mailing the newer ones

If you are going to re-engage a mailing list, it is best to mail the newer members of the list first. You need to segregate the newer ones because it has a much higher engagement than the old ones. But still, you need to re-engage them sooner or later. There is also a higher probability that the newer email addresses will be responsive to the services you offer.

Make a plan or campaign

You can’t simply email the old list; you need to have a plan or campaign to make it successful. Start by re-introducing your business or firm as a welcome message, then create a campaign on which emails will be sent regularly. It can be every week or twice a month depending on your preference. But do not send emails daily as it can irritate people and they may ask to be removed from the mailing list.

Make sure the deliverability is high

You need to make tests regarding the deliverability of your email campaign. There are a lot of tools you can use for this process. There are also apps and websites that can help you assess whether or not your email reaches the inbox of your mailing list. Make sure to use the right one for your business. 

Another thing you need to check is the setup of your email provider. You need to be sure that the right settings are applied so that the emails you are sending are reaching the people on your list.

Make sure to avoid ‘spam’ words 

There are words, phrases, and sentences you need to avoid including in your email. Words such as FREE, click here, apply now, and so on. There are a lot of words to avoid, that is why it is critical to research these words or sentences to avoid your email being in a spam folder. You can simply search Google thoroughly to make sure that your email does not contain these words.

It is important to re-engage a list as it can provide additional clients, and rebuild a relationship from old clients. Whatever your reason may be, it is good to re-engage your list for your business.
